Excellent attention very good food they attend you as you deserve it
Very good food
Exactly, but in summer tables are almost no problem because there is more outdoor space.
Agreed.
One of the best Salvadoran/Central American restaurants I’ve ever been too!!!!
I'm sorry I'm latino and it hurts to say companies like this really messing with latino culture the food not what its supposed to be if they really called themself Latinos. You ain't latino you Hispanic. For those of you that dont know. us Latinos are better lol latino heat you could say Hispanic heat but doesnt rhyme that much plus Eddie Guerrero was latino so latino heat everyday. Food still terrible dont think I got off your case.
There pupusas were awesome only! About the actual food was a disappointment. I gave this place a second chance once again. Dry grilled chicken that didn't smell of spices. It smelled of raw chicken which left an undesirable taste. The steak seemed previously cooked. They just recooked it again. Instead of being a juicy steak. It was smoke in mirrors. The juice drinks were more expensive. Their corn tamales were smaller with a side of sour cream sauce. Which the sour cream is priced differently. Overall I wasn't impressed. Presentation needs improvement. The staff are nice. But I would ONLY order their PUPUSAS.
El Comalito serves the best tomales and other authentic Salvadoran food
The customer service is great, the food is delicious. nice for a quick bite and a way to enjoy the outdoor weather.
I love it here. Great food, great prices, great staff!
Best pupusas I've try in long time. Great taste and good service.
There’s always a wait . Waited about 20 minutes to get seated then another 20 to order drinks . My server wasn’t checking on us as much as she should . The horchata is made with water here . It’s the nastiest horchata I’ve ever had in my life . The pupusas were DELICIOUS which is why they got the 3 stars . The carne asada was just ok . The server was nice despite the fact she could’ve checked in more often . It was clean but there were other tables around us wondering where their server was .
Great pupusas, fast, and friendly service
quality food and service
I been eating my fair share of pupusas as of late so it was natural that I would venture by the former Leland Memorial Hospital, R.I.P. Len Bias. I like that this is an actual restaurant, one that is spacious and perfect for families. And there were plenty dining which I loved. What I didn’t love was my food. I appreciated it being made to order but I there was a mistake with what was brought to the table. But with pupusas, you don’t find out until you deep involved. I can let a lil error slide, it was busy but compared to pupusas I had recently at Doña Bessy in NoVA and El Rinconcito II in D.C., I was disappointed. Service was nice and a return visit is not impossible—it will just take awhile.
The talapia dish was well cooked. I can't wait to try the other dishes
Mí novio took me here for the first time. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicioso. Thumbs up 👍
Food is delicious but on the weekends and some weeknights they need to hire more servers to get the food out to the general public.
They got the best food I've ever tasted, pupusas are the best 🇸🇻😍
This is a great place, well the service was great. Maybe we got there when it wasn't that busy. But everything was just so good first time I ate pupusa and it was very testy and with a great flavor. And the drinks what can I say. The fruit was just fresh and sweet
some of the best Salvadoran restaurants in town. food here is excellent!
Idk how this place isn't rated higher. I stop at all the spots for papusas and tamales and this one is tops. It's always busy, the parkinglot is always packed. That's because the food is great.
Best Salvadorian Pupusas in the DMV🤗
I have to agree with many of the other reviews, that the staff here is incredibly sweet and friendly and kind, but the food is kind of sub-par. I came in with a friend who is clearly a regular. I honestly can't tell you which of the Pupusas we ordered because they all tasted the same. They weren't really very filling either, so though the check between the two of us was only $14, I felt like I could have eaten three times as much.
This rating is solely based on their Pupusas. They are very good and It's the only thing that is worth eating. Everything else on their menu is NOT worth it!
Always eating good pupusas
Awesome spot to get something when in a rush. The customer service is speedy, pricing is affordable, fantastic ambience. Will come visit again
Great food quality, affordable prices and welcoming staff members. I highly recommend this place.
The pupusas are great, service could be better. Honestly, some of the best pupusas in the area.
Pretty good pupuasas and service. Place was clean and well lit. I have not had anything else but the pupuasas but fruit cocktails seem pretty popular
The best salvadorans pupusas in town highly recommended indeed
The best pupusas I have ever tried. I've eaten pupusas all of my life and these are definitely the best.
Great carryout last weekend. The ayote & loroco pupusas were particularly delicious, and my wife appreciated the chicken option. Big slab of carne asada was tender and seasoned well. I've gotta get here more often!
The food is good and affordable prices
The place was packed inside and out on the terrace! Food was deliciously prepared. We had the pupaseras, beef and chicken fajita mixers and a wonderful fruit drink of almond milk and apple and other juices. Reasonable prices and nice servers!
They have good food but they could use more flavor but other than that it was good.
Low prices, good environment
Small place but the food is authentic and fresh hot food 😁is really good
Good food and great price
Very clean, staff is amazing very helpful. If you're looking for authentic El Salvadorian food this is the place for you, the best pupusas on the planet
I had a higher expectación about this place, pupusas not thst good here
After passing by several times and always seeing a good amount of clientele finally stopped by for dinner. Had 2 pupusas and beef soup. Food was good and at a reasonable price. Haven't tried similar food around the area to compare. Will be back to try other dishes.
Great food, great people, great prices
They need to serve beverages in real glasses instead of those cheap paper cups and plastic spoons and forks...they are trying to be upscale casual dining...but they missed the mark...and the waitress could use a class on being friendly
I had the baked chicken dish and the chicken was over baked. Very dry, but the sauce was great.
They gave me free ice and good food
Service was a little slow. Got quite messy during my stay. However, food was good, service was good. Nice family atmosphere.
Food was not so good, I order the Batea steak, waiter Brenda did not care to asked how they needed to cook the meat, steak was dry, This waiter Brenda spill some horchata and got on the table and my pants, , the she served nuegados just putting the plate with no care. I will end business with this place. Horrible service.
One of my favorite places when it comes to their pupusas!
The food us great the service could be better
Lovely Latino setting the music gets me all the time
We visited on a Sunday night. It was crowded and busy, but we were seated promptly. The server was nice and attentive. She took our order promptly. They had ran out of lettuce and were substituted with ‘pico de gallo’. The food was good. There’s plenty of seating outdoors, but it’s closed during the cold months. It’s probably nice to visit during the warmer months to enjoy outdoors seating. It was still cold when we visited and outdoors seating had not been opened yet.
Really good, fast service, clean and the ensalada juice is the bomb! I did not give 5 stars because coffee is small and no refills.
Used to be a good place to eat. Service and quality of food has gone down tremendously. I will not be going back there again, especially not for their pupusas. Last 2x there, they were disgusting - a complete waste of time and money.
